AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

What a week. I took this picture on Saturday as I few over the Nevada desert. 10 years have passed since my last visit to this state, and so much has changed. It wasn't a trip I had expected to take so soon, but I am glad that I was able to be there. All I can say is, Las Vegas I do not miss you, but I will always miss the people I know and knew there.

GET SHIT DONE.

I saw this on pinterest a couple weeks ago, and I was like "yes!", so getting shit done is what I am doing. But even before I saw this, I knew that I needed to change my plans with school, and get it done. If I've spoken to any of you about my plans over the past couple years, you will know that it was always my intention to get the archive certificate, on top of my masters degree, and finish in December 2013. But you know what? I'm tired. Seriously. So I've decided to forgo the archives certificate so that I can finish school in August! If you're worried that this will mess up my plans to work in an archive (my dream!), fear not! I have met all the requirements for a concentration in archives, and I will be taking a test with the Academy of Certified Archivists in the near future. So all is well. Phew.

So that's what we've been up to recently. Well that and...yardwork. Oh joy.

WITH FRIENDS

These past couple of weeks have been consumed by work and school. Thankfully, my spring semester is nearing its end, and I'll have a couple weeks off to play before summer semester starts. And speaking of summer...two weekends ago we experienced two whole days of summer-like weather! We ate outside! we wore sunglasses and sandles! we went for long walks with friends in the sunshine. It was glorious, and now that its back to being cold and gray I find myself pining (even more than usual) for the summer. For whoever reads this, I hope you have a wonderful week! I will try best best to post regularly, despite the incredibly boring nature of my life right now.
